Villabella Lugana
Villabella Lugana
Description
Structure. Minerality. Southern Lake Garda.
The Lugana DOC from Vigneti Villabella grows along the southern shore of Lake Garda – in the municipalities of Lonato, Peschiera del Garda, Desenzano del Garda, and Sirmione, precisely where the legendary Lugana forest once stood. The heavy clay soil of this unique zone on the border between Veneto and Lombardy gives the wine a structure not typically expected from a white, fruity wine.
Trebbiano di Lugana (Turbiana) and Chardonnay are harvested in the first week of October, cold-macerated, gently pressed, and fermented at a controlled temperature. Aging in stainless steel tanks followed by bottle refinement preserves the typical minerality and elegant freshness of the terroir.
